UPDATE: The due date for applications has been extended to Monday October 3. The documents at the bottom of the page have been updated to reflect this.
The Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research (GCSCR), in collaboration with the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science, are hosting their 8th Annual Postgraduate Symposium, ‘Fresh Lines’, on Friday November 25 at Griffith’s Gold Coast campus.
‘Fresh Lines’ is a one-day symposium run by postgraduates for postgraduates, where papers-in-progress drawn from current research projects will be presented. We are encouraging submissions from current HDRs as well as Masters and Honours students, and are seeking papers on a wide range of topics from various disciplines across the humanities, social sciences and languages.
There is no cost associated with attending the symposium, and the event is also open to interested staff. Papers co-authored by staff and students will be considered favourably.
‘Fresh Lines’ will be run as part of a three-day event, including a Summer School to be run on the second day (Thursday November 24). The Summer School is an excellent opportunity for Griffith University’s HDRs of any level to come together with peers and a range of academics to discuss the PhD process and pick up some valuable research skills. As with the symposium, there will be no cost to attend the Summer School.
All applications are due by Monday October 3. For forms and further information, follow the links below. You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date, or simply email us with any queries.
